4人が 「これはハロプロの中でもメロンだけ」 と誇りを持って答えるのが
「唯一ダイブするファンがいるユニット」。
確かに、ライブを見てもファンの熱気は最も強いです。

トークコーナーで客席から掛かる応援のメッセージが温かいと感じるのも、
それだけファンとのキャッチボールが出来ている証拠でしょう。

「ひとりひとりが100パーセントのパワーを出して、4人合わせて400パーセント！」 がモットーとか。
イベントやライブの彼女たちは、とてもキラキラしていて、なのにアットホームなかんじで、いいですね。



（メロン記念日のユニット名の由来）

メロンっていうのは人によって色々見方がぜんぜん違うので、4人をいろいろな方向でいろんな風に見て欲しいというのと、
4人がメロンっぽい（つんく談）ってところから。
あなたと私たちが会った日がいい記念日になりますようにっていう思いを込めて、メロン記念日というユニット名になったそうです。

村さん （村田めぐみ） Murata Megumi ちゃん

満面の笑顔が最高に魅力的。とってもスレンダーで美人でカッコ良い方です。
読書も欠かさないメロン一のインテリ。地道な一生懸命さが目立つ素敵な人！

でも趣味に 「ひまつぶし」 とあるんですが、いったい何をしているのやら？
とにかく天然なのか計算なのか全然分かりませんけどキャラ的に面白いです。

メロン記念日の末娘。ナチュラル担当。
その言葉のとおり、座右の銘は自然体だそうです。
常に自然体で爽やかな元気印な女の子。

楽曲の中でもメインを歌うことが多いですね。
メロン記念日最年少にして最強の美少女でセンターです。

ソロ写真集も出すなど、その人気の高さっぷりがうかがえます。
メロン記念日の他にも、タンポポのメンバーとして活躍中。

柴ちゃんの一番のお友達はモーニング娘。の石川梨華ちゃん。
休日は一緒に買い物に行ったり、ピザを食べに行ったりとか、本当に仲良しなふたりです。



ひとみん （斉藤瞳） Saito Hitomi ちゃん

セクシー担当といえば斉藤さん。
村田さんに代わり、メロンの新リーダーでもあります。
よく喋ってよく笑って、あまり隠し事をせず、そしてとても明るい女の子。
友達になれたら凄く楽しそう。
最近ゴージャスな髪型にして、更にその存在感が出てきたのでは？
　
ひとみんの魅力は 「ファンに対するやさしさ」 なような気がします。
ライブやイベントではファンを気遣うコメントが一番多いのが彼女ではないでしょうか？

メロン記念日の長男坊。ボーイッシュ担当。
相変わらずかっこいいマサオくんです。

最近、なぜかザリガニを飼い始める。
今では二代目エビータを買っている。（初代はエビ）

最近、ちょっぴり女らしくしようかと画策中とか。
「スカートでも履こうか」 という発言が飛び出しています。
グラビアなどで乙女なマサエさんが見れる日もそう遠くないかもしれないですね。

Originally she was the group's leader, but she felt unfit for the task and the responsibility was given
to the second-oldest member, Saito Hitomi.

Murata is now the subleader. She was easily recognizable amidst the ever-growing Hello! Project
because she was currently the only member who wore glasses full-time,
since they first appeared during the promotion of MI DA RA Matenrou.

However, since 2006 she has appeared without her glasses.
After her graduation from Hello! Project and Melon Kinenbi's disbanding, Murata is currently the only member
of Melon Kinenbi to have rejoined UFA and resumed activities under her new stage name written fully in katakana.

However, Murata announced that she would be leaving the world of show business on March 31, 2011
after her final concert in Shibuya.

Ohtani Masae was currently a member of the Korean x Japanese musical exchange group 4C CREW
using the stage name Melody.

She is known for frequently changing her hair colour as seen throughout the various singles,
albums and performances of Melon Kinenbi.

After Melon Kinenbi's disbandment she left Up Front in May 2010 with the goal of eventually performing her own music.
She has so far released two digital singles for cellphone only download via the site mero.jp
and will release both of those songs on CD in January and Feburary 2011 under the stage name Ohtani Masae a.k.a Himawari.










Melon Kinenbi was one of the most stable groups within Hello! Project.

The group debuted in 2000 after successfully completing the Second Morning Musume
and Heike Michiyo Protegee Audition in 1999.
Unlike almost every other Hello! Project group, the lineup remained unchanged throughout its ten year history.

Melon Kinenbi have experimented with various musical styles over the years ranging
from bubblegum pop to more recently rock.
On February 2010 it was announced that the group would disband after their 10th anniversary concert tour.

哈密瓜纪念日（Melon Kinenbi）是一个早安家族（Hello! Project）所属的女子音乐组合。

由1999年举办的「第二届平家充代与早安少女组。（Morning Musume）师妹征选会」
参加者约4000人中选出的四名合格者所组成。

成员从左为村田惠（Murata Megumi）、柴田步（Shibata Ayumi）、
齐藤瞳（Saito Hitomi 队长）、大谷雅惠（Ohtani Masae）。

她们主要在全国各地LIVE HOUSE进行表演。
此外，作为嘉宾多次参加在早安家族的松浦亚弥和后藤真希等的演唱会，
发挥丰富多彩的配角。

2010年05月03日，在中野SUNPLAZA举办的巡回演唱会最终场结束后解散。
是早安家族中唯一一个从出道至解散的十年当中，从未变动过成员的团体。
